Bivallate Rath in Clareview, County Fermanagh, is a twin-ditched earthwork from the early Christian period. Its two rings suggest a defended home or ritual centre where people lived, worked and possibly worshipped. The exact purpose has faded, but the shape remains: a small place set apart, strong enough to resist forgetting.
