Billy Newman

Billy Newman was born in Dublin on 24 November 1946 and became a one-cap international after replacing Johnny Giles against Denmark in 1969. He played midfield for Bohemians and Shelbourne during the 1960s and 1970s, moving between amateur and professional football with the kind of restlessness that suggests a man who refused to sit still.
