Belmont Castle, Stables

Stable(s) (19th Century)

What is recorded here

Belont Castle stables stand in Perth and Kinross as a 19th Century building, their stones still holding the shape of horses and handlers long gone. The castle tower looms nearby while the smaller stable block waits below, perhaps still warm where lantern light once struck brick. What is certain is that the place existed to serve Belmont Castle and that it remains marked on the national record. What is not certain is how many lives moved through those doors or whether the building still keeps a saddle smell in its walls.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Belmont Castle, Stables as Stable(s) (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
