Belont Castle keeps a small south-west lodge built in the nineteenth century, standing beside the grand house in Perth and Kinross. The castle chamber still holds the chamber pot, a reminder that even proud stone must serve the body. The lodge door may have swung for carts, grooms or visitors, while the main house waited for people important enough to be announced.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Belmont Castle, South-west Lodge as Lodge (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
