Belonging to Belmont Castle in Perth and Kinross, the nursery is a walled garden where deliberate cultivation began. Its boundary suggests a household that wanted to control growth, measure patience and keep something rare alive. The castle may have commanded the surrounding land, but this smaller garden measured the people inside it.
