It is composed mainly of volcanic and metamorphic rocks from the Moine Thrust Belt, a significant geological feature marking the collision of ancient landmasses. The hill is notable for its scenic prominence and is a popular destination for hikers exploring the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
