Brackfield Bawn stands in County Derry as a bronze age enclosure marked by urn burial, preserving dead bodies and living memory across millennia. The name shifts between Crosalt, Crossault and Cosalt, but the earth keeps its shape: a rounded defence where people lived, argued, loved and stopped breathing. State care now surrounds the site, yet the real guard is time itself, holding human remains inside soil instead of displaying them for curiosity.
