What is recorded here

Bawn in Siginshaggard is a square grass enclosure holding a tower house at its east corner. The bank and wide fosse mark a small defensible world on a west-facing slope. A household may have lived inside that limited space, watching the road and defending its own front gate.
Located on a slight W-facing slope. The tower house (WX041-009----) stands at the E corner of a square grass-covered enclosure or bawn (dims. 28m x 28m) defined by a slight bank and outer fosse (Wth c. 9m). Cmpiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 20 March, 2013
