Bawn in Cregganna More, County Galway, is a bawn, a fortified enclosure whose walls and gates shaped the daily life of the people who built and defended it. The exact dates and events are not yet public, but the form of the place is clear: a bounded home where strength, memory and ordinary labour met. It may have housed families, stored what they grew or kept them safe when danger came. Whatever else is hidden, the bawn still stands as a marker of human presence in Cregganna More.
