Mud and blood mixed in 1642 across Ardilea, Cloghram and Dundrum, marking a violent clash in County Down during the seventeenth century. The ground remains a battle site, preserving the danger and chaos of that moment long after the fighters disappeared. What is certain is the date and place; what is lost is the human noise, fear and choice that filled the air before the silence returned.
