Cave Hill in Ballyaghagan, Green Castle and Low Wood marked a 1468 battle site where armed men collided before the hill swallowed the noise. The medieval date and local names suggest a sudden, violent clash rather than a quiet border dispute. People may have fled into Low Wood or watched smoke rise above Green Castle while the hillside absorbed blood and fear.
