Monument to Battle of Mulroy, 1688-08-04
The Battle of Mulroy was fought on 4 August 1688 between Clan Mackenzie and a coalition of Clan MacDonald of Keppoch and their allies. The Mackenzies won a decisive victory, which helped secure their influence in the Scottish Highlands and was part of the broader political tensions leading to the Glencoe Massacre in 1692.
