Barrow

Situated on a hillock on the S side of the Hill of Ushnagh, in pasture with excellent views to SSE, S, and W. Holy well annotated 'Tobernaslath' (WM024-060----) lies c. 15m to W. Bivallte earthwork described in 1971 as a roughly circular-shaped area (dims. 36m WNW-ESE; 31m NNE-SSW) defined by an inner fosse and two outer banks. A narrow, shallow inner fosse is visible at W, NNW and E. There are two widely spaced outer earthen banks which are not concentric, although they make contact at N. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior rises gently from the perimeter towards the centre and a large slab lies prostrate in the SW quadrant.
