What is recorded here

Described in report (OPW file) as a low oval platform (dims c. 22.5m N-S, 18m E-W) with an external fosse (Wth c. 2.1m; D c. 0.15m) visible at NW and faint traces elsewhere. Now appears as a low flat-topped mound (diam. 21m, H c. 1m). No visible surface remains of fosse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
