What is recorded here

When inspected in 1994 the monument was described as follows: ‘In an area of undulating fertile pasture on top of a slight natural rise. The view from the site is excellent. An oval enclosure measuring in plan 10.5m NW-SE by 8m NE-SW is surrounded on all sides by an earthen bank with an indistinct outer edge. It averages 2.5m wide at the base and is 0.4m high inside. Externally, is rises to 1.65m at the NW but otherwise averages <0.5m. The interior slopes gently down to the E and is clear of excess growth. It is featureless.’ Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 19 August 2014
