Half a kilometre from the Clifden road, a hollow mound crouches beside the fair green like a forgotten chamber waiting for someone to remember its name. People may have carried dead through the sunken track, watched rituals on the ridge, or simply passed it while driving horses to market. The barrow does not need praise; it keeps the shape of human time in ordinary Galway soil.

On W slope of a low ridge in undulating farmland. Known locally as 'the fort', it consists of a low circular mound (D 16m) with a hollow interior.
