In wet pasture on S bank of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Newtown. Barrow (LI049-228----) lies 240m to NE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Possible barrow listed as ‘Ballyfroota 1’ by Grogan (1989, 215). Visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 10m) on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 13/08/2021. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
