In flat pastureland. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subcircular enclosure (c. 26m NW-SE; c. 22m NE-SW) and as a small mound (diam. c. 6m) surrounded by a fosse on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16). A ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age (c. 2000–1500 BC), associated with burial practices involving a central mound and surrounding ditch. Its presence indicates prehistoric funerary activity in the Moneen West area.
