What is recorded here

Situated at the crest of a lower shelf on the W side of Tara in an area cut by many E-W paths. Described (Newman 1977, 120) as a circular mound (diam. c. 5.5m), it has no visible profile and has never been geophysically surveyed. A Neolithic mound barrow; its location near the Hill of Tara suggests ritual or ceremonial significance in the broader Bronze Age and early historic landscape.
