In reclaimed pasture, in the centre of a group of barrows (LI040-048001-/048003-; 048005-/006-). Not marked on OSi historic maps. Possible site (No. 040258) identified as a small circular cropmark during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/50000, 2549) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. Faint trace of monument visible as small circular cropmark on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019. Area of wet ground visible in area of cropmark which may be the remains of a small hollow or pond feature. Doubtful antiquity, could be the remains of a natural feature.
