In wet pasture, one of a group of three barrows (LI049-029002/004-). Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Potential barrow identified as a circular cropmark on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2579, Site 247) taken 03/11/1984. Faint trace of circular cropmark (diam. c. 4.75m) visible on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12. Cropmark clearly visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/03/2018. A Bronze Age ditch barrow; part of a small barrow group. Its presence indicates prehistoric settlement and funerary activity in the Mitchelstowndown East area.
