In improved rough pasture 15m S of townland boundary with Knockainy East and 5m W of watercourse. Ring-barrow (LI032- 311----) lies 155m to SE. Not depicted on any OSi historic maps. Cropmark of circular-shaped area (diam. c. 6m) defined by a fosse visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 05/04/2006. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 or on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence suggests a local funerary tradition and may indicate a broader ritual landscape in the Knockainy area.
