On reclaimed poorly drained pasture, 40m W of the River Mahore which marks the townland boundary with Ballynamona. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Possible ditch-barrow is visible as a small circular shaped area (diam. c. 15m) defined by a ditch on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence suggests ritual or funerary practices associated with early farming communities in the region.
