Barrow

On level ground immediately E of the linear earthwork, 'The Black Pig's Dyke' (KD023-037----). Two other possible barrows lie nearby; c. 20m to the ESE (KD023-079----) and c. 5m to the S (KD023-081----). Visible on an aerial photograph (DoD 1999). A small, partially overgrown circular area (diam. 6.4m) is defined by a very shallow fosse (Wth 1m). A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its location near the Black Pig's Dyke suggests possible ritual or territorial significance in a landscape marked by prehistoric monuments.
