Barons Island is a small tree-covered crannog in Brackley Lough, County Cavan, Ireland. It floats about 320m from the shoreline, nearly circular and twenty metres across, with a modern landing place at its northeast edge. In clear weather it appears as a green disc severed from the land, close enough to reach yet far enough to demand intention. People may have built or used it when lakes gave up land and memory, but no named event or date is written in the facts provided.
