Corner-sited attached four-bay three-storey bank and manager's house, built c. 1900, having recessed single-bay annex to south side, and lower three-storey single-bay return and single-storey extensions to rear. Pitched artificial slate roof having rendered chimneystacks and some cast-iron rainwater goods, with parapets to front and rear elevations. Lined-and-ruled painted rendered walls with render quoins to upper floors, having moulded render string course between floors, and with moulded render cornice to parapet. Channelled rendered walling to ground floor of façade, having render plinth, impost mouldings and fascia, latter continued to incorporate annex. Square-headed window openings to upper floors, having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows, with painted moulded render surrounds and detached pediments to first floor. Round-headed window openings to ground floor of façade having fixed timber windows with tripartite fanlights, and to side elevation and addition, latter with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed door openings, having timber panelled doors with fanlights, approached by limestone steps. Ornate cast-iron railings to front of building, set on cut limestone plinths. Paired rendered piers to north elevation, having double-leaf cast-iron gate.

This fine imposing building occupies a prominent corner site on the main thoroughfare of Mitchelstown. It is a dominant structure due to its tall size and neo-classical detailing. The render ornament, particularly to the first floor windows, contributes decorative interest to the townscape. The retention of timber sash windows, panelled doors and the fine cast-iron railings all enhance the form and contribute to the architectural significance of this building.
