Ballynakill Grave Yard is a forgotten rectangular burial ground hidden within a densely overgrown tree copse in County Galway. A faint rise and a single half-metre marker remain visible among scattered field-clearance stones, suggesting the earth once held several local dead before the trees reclaimed the site. The place feels less like a formal churchyard and more like a quiet neighborhood memory, where ordinary people were laid to rest away from grander monuments.

Within a densely overgrown tree copse in grassland. Marked on the 1945 edition of the OS 6-inch map as an rectangular unenclosed burial ground (c. 20m NE-SW; c. 15m NW-SE). A faint rise marks its location. Only one grave-marker (H 0.5m; Wth 0.5m) was noted, just NW of centre. A number of small stones visible throughout appeared to be field-clearance material.
