Mortars and jointed stones stand in Ballynahinch, County Clare. A castle keeps its shape when rooms and roofs forget the names of their owners.

Ballynahinch Castle was built in the 17th century by the Blake family, who were prominent landowners in the area. It is remembered as a historic family seat and an example of early Irish country house architecture.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
