What is recorded here
Detached single-storey rendered waiting room, built c. 1875. Now unused. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, painted timber projecting bargeboards, painted timber overhanging eaves carried on timber gallows brackets, half-round cast-iron gutters. Painted smooth-rendered walling. Rectangular painted vertically-sheeted timber panels to either side of square-headed central opening, painted vertically-sheeted timber doors. Set to west side of west platform with station on opposite side of track and bridge to south.
This modest little building is one component of a virtually intact, station ensemble. Natural slate roofing and painted timber roof trim add to the harmonious relationship with other station structures.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
