Ballyellin Church (in ruins)

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 22 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Within a rectangular graveyard (CW019-050004-) to the S of the centre. Foundations of N wall and remains of W and E gable walls of apparently rectangular structure of roughly coursed limestone blocks. Small portion of wall to S of S wall and at right angles to it, possibly annexe to church.
