Ballyconnelly Grave Yard is a burial ground in County Galway, Ireland, where the dead have slept since before records were kept. The living who walked past it likely loved, feared or forgot the names beneath the soil, yet that human history has not survived into the present. What remains is a quiet place marked for death, waiting for someone to stand beside it and imagine the hands that dug the first grave.
