Formerly detached square-plan two-bay two-stage former signal tower, built 1804, now partly in use as house. Projecting bartizans and limestone copings to roof level. Slate hung walls. Red brick and rendered walls to bartizans. Square-headed openings, some infilled, some with replacement uPVC windows.

One of an extensive network of signal towers which were built along the Irish coast in anticipation of an invasion by the French. However, the system was doomed to failure, as the British had not taken the wet and misty climate of the west coast into consideration, which obscured the signals. Though slightly altered to accommodate a new use, this tower retains a great deal of its original slate hanging, which has been lost on many towers.
