What is recorded here
Detached two-bay single-storey L-plan gate lodge, c.1860, now overgrown and partly unroofed. Brick and smooth rendered walls. Square-headed openings. Pitched slate and corrugated-iron roof with plain bargeboards and rendered chimney stack. Various rubble outbuildings to the rere.
This picturesque former gate lodge, though no longer in use, is an important part of the history of Baldonnell House and its estate, appearing almost like a miniature version of the main house.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
