Augustinian monks built Muckamore during the medieval era, creating a priory where prayer and daily labour intertwined. The site remains under State Care in County Antrim, preserving the earthly remains of that religious community. Whatever chambers they occupied have vanished, but the ground still holds the shape of their presence.
