Garristown graveyard keeps a flat square stone with deep rectangular slots at its NE corner, possibly salvaged from the medieval church. The railings beside it never touched the ancient marks, leaving the slots open for imagination. Someone may have fitted wood, iron or living things into those gaps before the church fell and the graveyard claimed the fragment. The stone still holds the shape of a lost connection, waiting for a hand to remember what fit there.

A stone with deep roughly rectangular shaped slots forms the top step of the stile in the NE corner of the wall of Garristown graveyard (DU003-011003-). This is a flat square slab (T 0.3m x Wth 0.4m x L 0.4m) with deep slots on the upper surface. Railings have been inserted at the stile but have not damaged the stone. Unknown function or use for stone but may have belonged to the fabric of the medieval church of Garristown (DU003-011001-).
