Dysert O'Dea castle lost its chamber to decay, but one ogee-headed window survived inside a chimney wall in Moycullen. The carved limestone head reappeared decades later, lifted from that hidden bracket and set upon a ledge at Dysert O'Dea. It is a small stone, yet it carries the shape of a room that no longer exists.

This record is for the present location of the carved limestone head of an ogee-headed window on a window ledge in the restored tower house at Dysert O'Dea (CL025-095002-). A notice with the stone states that it was found built into the chimney of an old house in 'Moycullen' and that it came from Moycullen (O’Dea) castle (no longer extant). This may be GA068-044----.
