Kilquane church vanished beneath the western slopes of Brandon Peak, leaving only a modern graveyard and two loose pivot stones behind. One rectangular slab still holds a central hole wide enough for a door hinge, echoing the preserved oratory at Gallarus. The other is broken but keeps a smaller perforation, hinting that a wooden threshold once swung above them. People may have walked past these stones for centuries before forgetting the church they supported.

Kilquane church and graveyard/ Cill Chuáin (KE034-106004-): The modern rectangular graveyard and site of the medieval parish church are located directly S of Kilquane village at the foot of the W slopes of Brandon Peak. No trace of the church is now visible but 2 pivot stones lying loose in the graveyard may be related. One (KE034-106005-) is a rectangular slab with a central perforation measuring 0.12m in diameter; this resembles the pivot stones preserved above the doorway in Gallarus oratory (KE042-071004-).
