Archibald Acheson, 3rd Earl of Gosford

Archibald Acheson, 3rd Earl of Gosford, was born in Markethill, County Armagh, on 20 August 1806. He represented County Armagh in Parliament from 1830 to 1847 before succeeding his father as Earl of Gosford in 1849. He died young on 15 June 1864, just months after becoming lord-lieutenant of the county he had served for decades.
