Anomalous stone group in Coolgarriff

Group of three stones, described by Hartnett (1939, 96) as forming an isosceles triangle; one stone (H 1.8m; 0.91m x 0.46m) stood upright at the apex of the triangle, the other two were prostrate and turf-covered and lay 2.44m to NW and SW respectively. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
