Caherbirrane is a lost circle in County Cork, not a marked chamber or named tomb. Conlon saw several large stones prostrate on the moorland in 1918, lying as if a circle had broken rather than men having dumped it. The exact place has slipped from the land, leaving only the shape of what happened: great stones fell, were forgotten, and became a gap in the story.

Conlon (1918, 137) noted 'several large stones prostrate, which appear from their present position to have at one time formed a circle'. In same moorland as wedge-tomb (6383).
