Andrew Balbirnie

Andrew Balbirnie is the Irish cricketer born in Dublin on 28 December 1990 who captained Ireland in its first ever Test match against Pakistan in May 2018. He bats right-handed, keeps occasionally, and has represented Ireland across Test, ODI and T20I cricket since his debuts in 2010, 2015 and 2018. His career also includes spells with Middlesex, Leinster Lightning and other domestic sides, while his leadership came after William Porterfield stepped down in late 2019.
