Amy-Joyce Hastings

Amy-Joyce Hastings was born in County Dublin on 24 September 1980, the exact coordinate where a child first learned that imagination could be measured in years of practice. She entered drama classes at the Gaiety School of Acting in the late 1980s, was scouted for Fools of Fortune, and later chose three years at the Samuel Beckett Centre over easier visibility. That decision turned a bright local girl into a sustained actor, carrying Dublin’s particular life into films such as The Callback Queen and Sanctuary.
