Acairseid Driseach

Bay

What is recorded here

Acairseid Driseach is shown as a bay on the public map of Highland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Acairseid Driseach is a coastal rock feature or sea cliff composed of metamorphic rocks, likely of Precambrian to early Paleozoic age. These rocks were formed through high-pressure and high-temperature deformation of older sedimentary or igneous layers, typical of the Scottish Caledonides, and are notable for their resilience to erosion and exposure of ancient geological history along the coast.
