What is recorded here
No visible ruin remains in Cluntygeeragh, only a forgotten point on an old survey and the likelihood that people once lived there before leaving without trace. The land may still hold buried walls, hearth soot or discarded tools beneath grass and stone. What is certain is that the settlement was abandoned, recorded and then lost again to time.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ABANDONED SETTLEMENT (O.S. memoir site, unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
