This grey commemorative plaque records: This plaque marks the site of York Aerodrome and is dedicated to the memory of all RAF and Handley Page personnel who served here from 1939 - 1948 and to the original members of Yorkshire Aviation Services who operated the airfield between 1936 and 1939.
