What is recorded here

Wreck of the 'Rose' at Beaumont Quay is shown and named in a reusable Geograph picture. The saved point is the picture's recorded map point.
The *Rose* was a small merchant vessel that sank in 1742 at Beaumont Quay after striking a sandbank. It carried a cargo of grain, some of which was lost, though no lives were reported lost; its remains are significant as one of the few documented 18th-century wrecks in the region.

The picture record does not grant public access. Use signed public paths and do not enter private land without permission.
