Wreck of HMT Arfon

Protected wreck

What is recorded here

The National Heritage List for England records Wreck of HMT Arfon as a protected wreck. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
HMT *Arfon* was a British Royal Navy minesweeper, lost in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine off the coast of Belgium. The vessel sank with the loss of all 11 crew members, and its wreck was later designated as a protected site under the National Heritage List for England.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
