What is recorded here

No clean break exists between the living city and its dead. The workhouse burial grounds in Corporation South mark the place where poor children, old workers and forgotten families were discarded into earth during the nineteenth century. They are not decorative history. They are the buried spine of the city, still holding the shape of what the city would not remember.
