O 1814 hyd 1973 bu'r adeilad presennol yn un o ysgolion cynradd y dref. Recorded plaque organisation: Monmouth Civic Society.
Withenoc founded Monmouth Priory around 1080 as a Benedictine priory, marking an important phase in the Norman establishment of religious institutions in Wales. The site later served as a primary school from 1814 to 1973, reflecting its enduring community role beyond its monastic period.
