What is recorded here

Knockcloghrim stood in County Derry during the nineteenth century, its wooden arms catching Atlantic wind to drive stone or steel. The official record still marks the site as scheduled, preserving the memory of a structure that turned restless air into usable force. Perhaps neighbours gathered there at dusk, watching the blades carve the dark while rain struck the gallery rail. The name resists easy pronunciation, but the function remains clear: a local windmill built to serve the people around it.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as WINDMILL: KNOCKCLOGHRIM (c.f. IHR 2133:2 for details. Recorded period: C19TH. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
